Left the national park pretty much as soon as the gates were open to continue our trip south. We attempted to book a tour of some vineyards for the return journey, but that plan was scuppered by the (now to be expected) random opening times of Chilean establishments. Continued on the beloved PanAmerican to Chillan - nice town with a great produce market; you could even buy ducklings by the boxfull. (We did not indulge - the cheeping would have got on one's nerves.)
Heading down to reserva Laguna de Lajos, stopped for the night at a german-run B&B; great assortment of guests for dinner conversation - Bayer chenist, tank driver, civil engineer building power stations in Chile.
